Riding through the Ancestral Land of the Navajo
Join us for one of our three programs.
You'll be buying room and board at the Largo Canyon School and a partially covered stall and board for your horse. We'll provide you with GPS locations of things to go do and see. We'll advise you of private land holdings to avoid. We'll be your safety net if things go south on you. You'll be eating with the staff. Rates are $45/night and includes alfalfa/grass mix hay.
Independent riding is not available while other programs are in progress.
We understand what it takes to make great photos. No hurry. No worries. You'll have a personal valet to help you carry gear.
The 2007 trailride schedule focuses on the full moon with a three to five day program that includes moonlight rides in the canyon. Stay over the weekend or the whole week. It's $200 for the room and pen (for the 3 day weekend) including food for yourself and alfalfa/grass mix hay for your horse, or $300 for the whole week. You will also want to bring along enough to leave a generous tip for your guide and the cook, so pack your wallet.
The trails will vary over the season as weather and focal points change. Our guides will lead you to different scenic areas and archaeological sites everyday. Depending on the destination, you may be packing a lunch or you may arrive at a full catered picnic in the middle of nowhere.
We will spend our evening hours in the kiva listening to archaeologists, storytellers, and drumming.
