Today is the blog carnival for all things equine. I regret to say that I did not submit a post to it.... I have been busy getting a new website going.

But I would like to say this: The Mounted Search and Rescue (MSR) national committee has been working on writing the standards for MSR equines. Some one on the group (idiot in my opinion) objected to the word equine, saying it only refers to Horses, and that equid is the correct term. I don't know what dictionary he is using, but I hate pretentious people that nitpick over insignificant (and untrue) trivia.

As if a word had a meaning carved in stone by the gods, and there can only be one true definition. Humphh!!!
