New Blogs, Mustang Progress, 5-elements, and Google Notes

The server was down yesterday so I didn't get to update my template as planned. You might notice there are a few more horse blogs mentioned. The artistic photos on Wildpferd are well worth the view.... the author is from Georgia, but that isn't in the USA. Two of the blogs are very personal stories of life with horses, Mustang Saga and Equus Ink. I love the writers for their authenticity. The one I resonate with the most is I Gallop On. Her most recent post is the photos of Martha Stewarts Thanksgiving with her horses. The one before that is a story, fiction (I hope) that is quite good, though it leaves you hanging. If it is not fiction, I feel so sorry for the author... but, hmmm, I don't think she is pregnant and she wouldn't write about her neighbors that way if it were true!!

Other than that I am making good progress with the little mustang, Rita. She will target a rope quite nicely. I practiced today just tossing it on the ground here and there and letting her find and touch it to earn the reward. She will also stick her head through a loop and then let me drag it back off over her ears. There is nothing too retarded about that girl! Billy will be flabbergasted when she runs and brings the rope to him.

The other equines all got some training. It is hard to get through the whole yard full. Definitely no time to go trail riding! I try to work my five-element training plan, but they are too eager to start on the water element. I need to tie them all up before hand and groom them to meet this objective in my plan as they have no patience. Cleaning hooves is an archetypal water activity, especially if you kiss them and annoint them with fragrant oils.

I downloaded and installed Google Notes to start keep track of their daily workouts. I need to make some notes in the course of training lest I forget the important details.

So much for now.
Patricia
