Hi, my name is Zekey.
I am as old as the hills.
I work here keeping the yard weed free.

The big guys crowd around hogging any morsels of hay that my owner drops getting the morning hay. I pay them no mind.

I could get in there and take it all, but, hey, there will always be another morsel. I have aquired the virtue of patience in this incarnation.

Eventually I do get my own bucket full of hay
So why worry?.

Our job as yard donkeys is to watch for the weeds
and nibble them if they try to grow.
Its hot when we work and the sun
makes me feel a little bit sleepy..

When the weather is fine and the birds are singing,
sometimes I dream of getting into the house and eating dogfood.

The days come and go, one after another
But, when the evening comes and the sun goes down, thats when I feel most alive.
